The Henry Smith Fund
Are you struggling financially?
- The Henry Smith Fund is an independent, local charity whose function is to provide financial help to people in need who are in the parish of Shere.
- This encompasses Gomshall, Holmbury St Mary, Peaslake, Shere, and a large part of Abinger Hammer.
- It makes regular payments to some elderly residents whose sole source of income is the state pension.
- It can fund essential items which cannot be afforded e.g. White goods, cookers, buggies, and many others.
- It also includes services e.g. grants for legal help, badly needed holidays, nursery school fees, and psychiatric help
- Grants are available for specific goods or services, normally up to £500 in any one year.
- Regular cash payments may also be made to older people who are also finding it difficult to manage.
- If you think you they might be able to help, please contact Mrs Kim Keeble: firstname.lastname@example.org (07929396533)/ 01483 202869

Improvements in the dispensary
Our Dispensary has recently had changed to a new computer system so that almost all prescriptions are sent electronically.
In the initial few months it may take longer for your prescription to be dispensed while we enter each patient onto the new system and work through the new process. The new system will have longer term benefits for both staff and patients and we ask for your understanding at this time.
If you have any queries then please speak to dispensary staff.

In addition we will be making Telephone appointments available on Saturday mornings.
Please bear in mind that these appointments on Saturday are via the telephone only and we would not have the facilities for face-to-face appointments at this time.
