Dispensary

Requests for repeat prescriptions must be in writing; you should complete your repeat slip or write a note detailing your name, address and what medication(s) you require, then deliver or post it to the surgery. We cannot take repeat requests over the phone.

An electronic repeat request service is also available. Please ask at the dispensary for details and passcodes. You will need photo ID to register for this service.

You can contact the dispensary on 01483 209913 with queries relating to medication only.

Please allow at least 72 hours for the dispensary to process your prescription. Do not include weekends or bank holidays in your 3 day allowance. This gives us time to order items not in stock and to maintain safety in our checking procedures.

The doctors review repeat prescriptions at least annually, and you will be advised when your review is due.

Please remember that dispensing staff can only dispense those medicines prescribed and authorized to be repeated by a doctor.

Our Dispensary has recently had changed to a new computer system so that almost all prescriptions are sent electronically.
In the initial few months it may take longer for your prescription to be dispensed while we enter each patient onto the new system and work through the new process. The new system will have longer term benefits for both staff and patients and we ask for your understanding at this time.
