Our new Online System: Accurx
We’re switching to a new system called Accurx to make it easier for you to contact us and manage your care online. Here’s everything you need to know.
1. What is Accurx?
Accurx is our new online system for contacting the surgery.
You can:

Send a message online without creating an account

Ask for medical advice, admin help, or fit notes

Do it all from your phone, tablet, or computer
Just click the “Book an Appointment” button on our website — no password needed.
2. Why are you changing from AskMyGP?
We want to:

Make things simpler – one place to go, no logins

Offer more flexibility – like choosing your preferred appointment day

Keep you informed – we can reply by text or send links to book in directly
3. How do I use Accurx?
It’s really easy:

Go to our website

Click “Book an appointment”

Fill in the short form and submit
That’s it. You don’t need an account or any special app.
4. Can I still call the surgery?
Absolutely. Nothing changes about calling us.
The new system is just another way to contact us — and for many, it’s quicker and easier.
5. Can I choose the day of my appointment?
Yes. You can tell us which day works best for you, and we’ll try to match you to that slot.
We now use embargoed appointments to spread availability throughout the week.
6. What happens after I send a message?

Your message goes to our team for review

We’ll respond by text or phone — whichever is appropriate

Sometimes we’ll send a self-booking link, so you can pick your own time slot
7. Will my messages be saved?
Yes. Everything you send becomes part of your official medical record.
You can view this anytime using the NHS App.
8. Do I need the NHS App to use Accurx?
No — you can use Accurx directly from our website.
However, the NHS App is a great way to view your messages, test results, and prescriptions, so we recommend downloading it.
9. What if I need help using it?
Call us or speak to reception.
We’ll talk you through how to use Accurx — or help you send a message if you’re unsure.
10. Will this affect how quickly I get help?
Our goal is to make access faster, smoother, and more flexible.
